Davis Shores

The Davis Shores community of homes is located just across the Bridge of Lions from historic St Augustine; the northern most tip of Anastasia island. Most homes date back as early as 1920s.

The community was founded by D.P. Davis in 1925 to develop the area for housing, a casino, yacht club, roman pool and golf course.  The land bust in 1925 ended his dream.

The large lots, wide boulevards, winding streets and cul-de-sacs make the neighborhood unique.  Most of the homes started out as small 2 or 3 bedroom concrete block homes, built after the post world war II boom.  Many of these homes today have been remodeled. There are many modern custom homes built to replace those removed, especially on the Matanzas River.

Attractions include the Lighthouse, Alligator Farm, Amphitheater, Anastasia State Park and our wonderful white sandy beaches. The State Park hosts a farmer’s market on Saturdays.

Davis Shores is a peaceful neighborhood where residents are able to enjoy nature and the convenience of restaurants, historic sites and quaint shops.

The designated schools for this neighborhood are RB Hunt Elementary School, Sebastian Middle School and St. Augustine High School.  You may click on the schools names for more information.
